Flitwick and Ampthill Lawn Tennis Club recently held its annual Ken Liddell Charity Tournament in aid of the Brain Research UK.
The charity funds research to discover the causes, develop new treatments and improve the lives of those affected by neurological conditions.
In spite of the uncertain Bank Holiday weather, there was an excellent turn out with £151 raised for the charity.
Ken was a good friend and club member who sadly died suddenly in 2011 at the untimely age of 51.
The club was delighted that Ken’s wife Mags Liddell attended the event and kindly donated the winner’s prizes.
Steve Rolt, marketing manager at the Club said:
“Ken was an enthusiastic member of the club and it was great to see so many players support the charity in his memory. In addition we were delighted that members of Ken’s family came along to lend their support and present prizes they generously donated.”
