OPCC’s ‘Summer of Fun and Focus’ in Bedfordshire

Bedfordshire’s PCC, Festus Akinbusoye, has announced the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) funded programme for young people this summer across Bedfordshire.

The ‘Summer of Fun and Focus’ is funded by the OPCC and aims to give young people between the ages of 4 and 16 the opportunity to learn skills in focus, confidence and health by attending Boxing and Martial Arts classes ran by local businesses in communities.

Police and Crime Commissioner, Mr Akinbusoye said:

“In response to community meetings, I have been holding across Bedfordshire I am funding these free activities to support families and young people this summer.

“I hope those attending the sessions will acquire skills in a healthy and balanced lifestyle for the mind and body. Our young people deserve some fun after the last 16 months and our communities will also be supported by the work our partners will do with them.”

Classes are available to book now and the OPCC said more classes will be added very soon.
